Using a system of plastic and aluminum coated paperboard combined with an aseptic filling system, these cartons had the ability to be perfectly airtight. The companies name: TetraPak, was derived from the fact that these cartons were tetrahedral from "four" in the Greek language. Another one called the TetraBrik was introduced in nineteen sixty three (1963), which was a rectangular cuboid carton. Later, more cartons were launched such as the tetrawedge which was wedge shaped and tetraprisma which was round octagonal and then there was the tetrafino which was a pouch shaped packaging. TetraPak also produced other non aseptic packaging systems .
